Pronounced [grandpa ruu], gR is a Detroit-based artist that specializes in vibe conduction. Inspired by the Golden ERA and the grooves of the city, GRNNPA RUU is known to marry the nostalgia of 90s hip-hop with anything that feels good. Despite two name changes, one thing has always remained the same — gR, fka WKDE and TJ the Tiger, is a good music connoisseur. Word to Dilla, Kaytranada, Tribe, and Rufus.
